25 Slightly Strange Alternate Uses For Car Flags

You know, as Head of Sales for one of China's top car flag manufacturers I am often asked if I feel at all dismayed that my products are used fleetingly. Wouldn't I feel better knowing that my products were in use on a 24/7 basis, such as a refrigerator or smoke alarm? Naturally, I could not disagree more. However, for my colleagues who sell more mainstream items my bread and butter is often the butt of their joking when they have had enough of their idle industry gossiping. Initially I found myself admitting that, yes, my product was used sparingly and may not see as much front line action as other car accessories. However, over time, I became bored defending my merchandise and found it better to counter their ribbing with a list of alternate uses for my car flags. I must admit that when the perfect occasion arrived to present my listings to my colleagues I thoroughly enjoyed their gob smacked expressions. I now present to you my 25 Slightly Strange Alternate Uses for Car Flags:1) Computer keyboard duster2) Napkin for individuals with excessively short arms.3) Fly Swatter for Pacifists.4) Wind direction indicator for landing aircraft.5) Prop for miniature film set.6) Back scratcher with added moisture gathering.7) Plugged sink drain tool.8) Animal petting tool for those with germ phobia.9) Javelin for athlete wanting to intentionally lose event.10) Back-up gavel for judge with loose hand grip.11) Festive birthday cake accessory.12) Flag for linesman at football/soccer matches.13) Ineffective umbrella.14) Last minute costume.15) Tour guide accessory.16) Utensil for peacefully beating misbehaving child.17) Jousting tool for dwarfs.18) Shoehorn for the cheap.19) Paintbrush.20) Makeshift coffee filter.21) Instrument for getting the attention of elderly relative.22) Heavy duty toothpick.23) Drowning indicator tool.24) Spatula for the depressed.25) Sunglass cleaning tool.Needless to say, after hearing my list of 25 Slightly Strange Alternate Uses for Car Flags my colleagues were a little taken aback. However, after insisting that I repeat the list one more time it soon became obvious that they understood perfectly well that my list was a good natured way of telling them to bugger off with belittling of my products.Unfortunately, it has backfired in some regards. Now my colleagues are demanding at least five new additions to the list every time we meet and/or bring their own. The single fact that they insist on using 'paperweight' in all of its incarnations validates what I have always believed: The Car Flag Salesman is a breed apart. Yes, indeed we are.
